The Role

Voltus is looking for a whip-smart, data-driven, detail-oriented, accountable, and creative Director of Marketing to help propel our sales machine forward. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, the Director of Marketing is responsible for the co-creation and execution of the marketing plan as well as its measured impact on the productivity of the sales team. Key Responsibilities

  • Build a team of world-class marketers to deliver on goals

  • Manage a team of Field Marketing Managers to drive market-specific marketing plans
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns for verticals that span markets (industry-specific, CashGen, etc.)

  • Own marketing tech stack and the identification of new marketing-specific technology solutions
  • Create and champion the overall business case for how marketing drives productivity and the future investments Voltus should make in marketing
  • Grow into a market expert and a named author of company media (white papers, Vlogs)

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of marketing experience (B2B or SaaS preferred)
  • 3+ years of marketing management experience
  • Strong organizational and project management skills

Field Marketing Manager

The Role

Voltus is looking for a Field Marketing Manager with a passion for delivering Better Energy and More Cash to our prospective customers. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, the Field Marketing Manager is a passionate marketing practitioner, eager to understand their assigned markets and translate that understanding into messaging and campaigns that will warm leads and shorten sales cycles. The ideal candidate is a doer, working closely with the Director of Marketing to create and execute market-specific marketing plans, a collaborator, communicating effectively with both Sales Operations and Sales Leadership to bring these plans to fruition, and laser focused on making the sales team more productive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and execution of market-specific marketing plans
  • Drive the creation of market-specific sales collateral and webinar content development
  • Own market level messaging and email marketing campaigns 
  • Work closely with Energy Markets to conduct market analysis and new market entry plans
  • Ensure pricing consistency across all marketing materials
  • Creation and maintenance of competitive landscape on a market level
  • Cross collaborate with other Field Marketing Managers to drive process improvements across markets
  • Support Sales Trainer in the development and execution of market-specific training for sales team

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Field Marketing
  • Familiarity with and interest in ISOs/RTOs and the Cleantech industry
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Intellectually curious - willing to dive into the details and understand the nuances
  • Mastery of HubSpot, Salesforce, Gotowebinar, Zoom, and PowerPoint/Google Slides

Product Marketing Manager

The Role

Voltus is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to evangelize our technology platform to the world. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, and working closely with the Product team, the Product Marketing Manager is passionate about educating prospective customers on Voltus’s differential value, ultimately assisting the sales team to close more deals faster. The ideal candidate is a creative doer who can drive content creation, messaging, and internal and external training, while aligning internal stakeholders to achieve cross-functional deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the branding and messaging associated with Voltus’s technology platform
  • Conduct product pricing and positioning analysis and strategy
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing Managers to effectively represent Voltus in all market-specific marketing campaigns
  • Project managers the product release process, coordinating internal stakeholders
  • Support the Product and Customer Success teams with new product release communications to highlight new platform capabilities to prospects and customers
  • Work with Customer Success and Product to solicit regular feedback from customer groups to drive product evolution and changes
  • Establish Voltus demo best practices to improve the effectiveness of initial customer meetings
  • Support training to disseminate those best practices to the sales team

Required Qualifications

Senior Sales Analyst

The Role

Voltus is hiring an analytics whiz to partner with our sales leadership team to drive the productivity and performance of our growing sales organization. The Sr. Sales Analyst has the know-how to splice and dice data as an individual contributor and the interpretive and communications skills to deliver actionable insights to our sales leaders on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. The Sr. Sales Analyst is the headlights on our sales train, pointing the sales organization in the direction it needs to go to reach company goals. We are looking for someone who can do more than just report on metrics, but can proactively partner with sales leadership to tell stories and recommend actions based on the data. This is a highly visible role at Voltus. This role reports directly to our Director of Sales Operations. This is a fully remote position that offers a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Weekly+ reporting to sales leadership focused on individual and market level performance
  • Delivering monthly and quarterly business reviews to sales and company leadership
  • Identifying trends in past performance; forecasting future sales organization performance
  • Identifying gaps in sales performance to inform sales training
  • Deliver forward-looking insights that align with the rapidly evolving business model
  • Interface with Sales Productivity Managers to share best practices and support complex reports or analytics related to a particular Sales Productivity Manager
  • Maniacally focused on proactively identifying gaps or opportunities for sales efficiency.  This will be accomplished by observing sales successes and shortfalls, analyzing sales metrics, conferring with sales leaders, and acting on feedback from team members.
  • Interface cross-functionally with other reporting and analytics departments to ensure unity in measuring metrics
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy of reporting metrics
  • Primary owner of internal sales metrics. This includes weekly sales reports, sales dashboards, and any recurring or ad-hoc reporting done across sales groups.
  • Owner of monthly and quarterly business reviews with sales and company leadership to drive sales strategy. Creates, conducts, and coordinates the business reviews.
  • Project manager of annual sales plan. The sales planning and goal-setting process requires a lot of cross-functional coordination and high attention to detail. This is done twice a year. This includes the setting of individual sales goals during the sales planning process, as well as ad-hoc goals when an individual is on-boarded.
  • Creation of Commission Statements for sales reps
  • Point person for Finance to coordinate with regarding commissions calculations
  • Determines best practices and reporting or analytics gaps, and iterates on our analytics content
  • Improves analytics effectiveness by developing and implementing new approaches and techniques
  • Becomes a subject matter expert on our sales process and approach, and industry in order to make recommendations with authority
  • Work effectively independently and as a critical member of our team

Sales Productivity Manager

The Role

Voltus is growing rapidly, and we see Sales Productivity as a critical role to capitalize on that growth. We are looking for someone who can proactively partner with sales leaders and their corresponding teams to drive efficiency and productivity via cross functional collaboration and technical solution planning and execution. The primary purpose of this role will be to maximize sales team productivity by enabling them to effectively and efficiently self-serve their needs and crafting scalable solutions where self-service is not possible. This person will be responsible for both day-to-day and strategic tasks, primarily serving our Strategic Sales Team, which focuses on our largest accounts. This is a fully remote position that offers a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert on our sales process and approach, and industry to make recommendations with authority.
  • Lead weekly check-ins with relevant Sales Leader(s) and Field Marketing Manager(s) to develop team strategy and execute on that strategy.
  • Maniacally focus on proactively identifying gaps or opportunities for sales productivity improvements in collaboration with Sales leaders and Field Marketing Managers, including through observation of sales successes and shortfalls, analyzing sales performance metrics, conferring with sales leaders, and acting on team feedback.
  • Develop and implement new tools and processes in such areas as deal profitability and qualification, including both internally developed (e.g., excel) or externally sourced solutions
  • Maintain sales tools, including tracking adoption and recommending approaches for improving adoption where needed
  • Seek out cross-functional collaboration opportunities across Sales Operations, as well with other teams, (e.g., Product, Engineering, Customer Success); help translate technical needs and solutions into broadly applicable, scalable, and productizable solutions that enable better self-service by the sales team and/or customers.
  • Serve as a conduit between the sales team and subject matter experts in other parts of the organization (e.g., engineering and energy markets teams) by triaging Sales team needs that require involvement from beyond the Sales Productivity function. 
  • Provide ad-hoc coaching for sales team members where necessary (e.g., use of tools).
  • Identify gaps in sales training and support implementation of improvements.
  • Collaborate on Salesforce data quality process development and improvement efforts, including policing data requirements in both Salesforce and other tools.
  • Review Sales deals to ensure data quality. 
  • Develop custom and semi-custom periodic (non-productized) reports for customers using formats and processes that can feed into scalable, productizable solutions.
  • Support strategic account / prospect planning and opportunity analysis, including custom salesforce reporting, and market opportunity analysis.
  • Collaborate with other Sales Productivity Managers to share best practices and solve joint challenges.

Sales Training Manager

The Role

Voltus is growing rapidly, and we see Sales training and on-boarding as a critical role to capitalize on that growth. This is a highly visible role at Voltus. We are looking for someone who can do more than just share information, but can manage the entire training process from on-boarding and beyond. This is a fully remote position that offers a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve on-boarding time for all new sales new hires.
  • Maximize sales effectiveness by coaching and project managing on-going training, and skill development.
  • Minimize the time spent by sales leadership training on fundamentals.
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and achievement of learning objectives.
  • Promote unity across all departments through training.

Job Duties

  • Primary owner of on-boarding for new sales team members. Sales Trainer creates, conducts, and coordinates the on-boarding process for the first 90 days of a new hire. This on-boarding includes an introduction to the full sales process, providing resources, cheat sheets, and assistance, and coordinating with sales leaders. At the end of the on-boarding cycle, this includes developing individual coaching plans moving forward.
  • Owner of on-going training with the entire sales organization. This includes creation and coordination of live (remote and in-person) and course-based training, and skill measurement and development.
  • Determines best practices and training gaps, and iterates on our training content. This will be accomplished by observing sales successes and shortfalls, analyzing sales metrics, conferring with sales leaders, and acting on feedback from team members.
  • Improves training effectiveness by developing and implementing new approaches and techniques.
  • Becomes a subject matter expert on our sales process and approach, and industry in order to train with authority.
  • Create, maintain, iterate on, and grade courses in our Learning Management System.
  • Manage and adapt to different personalities and learning styles.
  • Work effectively independently and as a critical member of our team.
  • If needed, travel to facilitate training initiatives.
