What is demand response?
Energy blackouts happen when the grid lacks enough power for everyone. To prevent this, the grid pays large energy users to cut back, provide power or be on standby–known as “demand response”. Unlike other restrictive programs which require you to reduce energy more frequently, Voltus makes demand response easy by offering better pay, more flexibility, and transparency so you can focus on your business.
Voltus works with the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) to enable these programs for energy users.

1. Speak with an Expert
Voltus works to understand your operations, ensuring we identify solutions that are least operationally disruptive to your current processes and easiest for your internal team to deploy. From there, we provide an earnings estimate tailored to your needs.
2. Enrollment
Customers easily sign up by completing Voltus’s no-cost, no-risk, 2-page enrollment form.
3. Install & onboard
Voltus enrolls the customers, nominating optimal kW for curtailment, and installs a device to retrieve real-time energy consumption.
4. Start earning
When the grid is stressed, you'll be contacted to reduce your energy consumption - then get you paid!
