Reduce (or eliminate)
peak demand charges

Maximize your savings and minimize disruption with Voltus’s customizable peak demand charge avoidance program.

What are peak demand charges?

Peak demand charges are electricity costs that energy users incur based on their usage during a specific period of time. Reducing your load during these periods keeps your electricity costs down. These charges are forecasted to increase or remain high across the U.S. and Canada.

Voltus makes peak demand avoidance clear,
time-efficient, and accountable

1. Tailor

Voltus customizes a program based on your savings goals and/or curtailment limits.

2. Predict

Voltus uses AI to analyze multiple variables, including weather patterns, geography, historical peaks and trends, forecasted peaks, and the impact of other customers on load, to dispatch when it’s most economical for your business.

3. Prepare

Voltus sends weekly, day-ahead, day-of, and hour-of forecasts that help your business plan load reductions.

4. Participate

Voltus sends a clear go/no-go decision for when your site should reduce load usage and by how much to curtail. Your performance can be good, better, or best - there’s no risk, only upside.

5. Co-optimize

If you’re also enrolled in other demand response programs, we automatically co-optimize between programs to maximize earnings and savings.

6. Report & Share

The Voltus platform shows your quantified kW and savings, breaking it down per dispatch and the value per hour curtailed.
